Ideas for the planning DRAFT
Our thriller filming shots are based on certain films such as "The Third Man", "Psycho", and "Once Upon a time in America". These three films inspire the costume, setting and locations, and props.
In the first shots, Holly is seen walking down a pebbled road and a shot of a man in the shadows. These location shots are inspired by "The Third Man" as our film is set in the 1930's era.
The style of Holly walking into her bedroom is that of "Once Upon a Time in America", this conveys Holly as a femme fatale and she is a devious woman who lures men into her attraction. The bedroom scene is also inspired by "psycho" due the camera angles and lighting which are metaphors for the characters- the low tilt shots are metaphors for the corruption that lies within them- in Holly.
The props in the short film are inspired mainly from "Once upon a time in America" and "The Third Man" as the film is set in the 1930's. Such props include~ tiffany's lamp, small clutch bag, and briefcase and more.
